For now, this page is a random assortment of archival field recordings.  Most of the audio spanning 2009 to the present was recorded by me during fieldwork.  Earlier recordings are from a variety of sources .  In the future, I may feature some studio recordings released on CD by some of the mestres with whom I am friendly, with their permission.

2009 Chá de Fogo – Itaquitinga – Sambada between Barachinha and Zé Flor.  As this was the first full sambada I ever recorded, my batteries ran out before the good stuff at the end of the night.  This recording, probably sourced from a cell phone, is the only full version I currently have and may be the only extant version.  You can stream it below, or download it directly from this link
